Topic: Chantel McGregor Mountain Time

Hi there everybody. I've finally managed to upload this little video for you. I don't know why it kept failing but eventually when I used internet with no add-ons it worked. Anyway, I saw that Chantel was appearing at the Old Tramshed in Saltaire on 28th April which is just down the road from me and even though I had to be up for work the following morning (starting at 6.30) I went along for the show.
I went over to speak to her just before she started and had a sneaky look at the set list. One Of These Days was to be the opener and Had To Cry Today, A New Day Yesterday and Mountain Time were all in there. Also included were numbers by Cream, Hendrix and Robin Trower.
When she saw me she said 'Hey, I know you. I stood next to you at the Cockpit. You're Tripsy from the forum'. (these young'uns have good memories!). We had a little chat and I asked her if it was ok if I took some video and would she say hi to the forum. She said 'yes'.
I tell you what, she plays with great enthusiasm in fact she must have broken about 8 plectrums, 4 on ANDY alone. She is a great player and if she makes a mistake just smiles and shrugs it off. She's a really down to earth Yorkshire lass and I really enjoyed the night.
Her bass player and drummer were very good too.
I didn't get home til midnight but what the heck. Hope you like this video

Oh my God, I got that same shiver that goes up my spine when I hear Joe play that song live. That rush comes just as he comes out of the intro into the opening chords. Chantel has definitely got it goin' on.

I'll need to check if she's ever due to play in Scotland - looks pretty good
