Topic: G'day from Australia....

Hi Everyone,

Nice to be here....I only discovered Joes music about 1 month ago, and have enjoyed it immensely since then. As such I thought I should join the mans forum and say hi to some other fans.

I've grabbed some of the good torrents from Dime, as well as buying quite a few of Joes official releases, eg You And Me, Sloe Gin, Blues Deluxe, and Had To Cry Today.

It's sorta funny I came to Joe so late....I teach guitar, focussing on blues lead approaches, and of course have quite a few CD's I picked up in 25 years of playing and teaching blues. Ol' Joe musta slipped under the radar somehow though....anyway, his music has been a  wonderful discovery, and I've already picked up (ie stolen!) plenty of his ideas!

Anyway, hi to everyone, and looking forward to getting involved.

A warm welcome to you!!!  Finally, someone who may be up as late as I am!!! 

You will find us to be a friendly lot with tons of information and good times to share.  Also, don't feel too badly about Joe slippin' in under your radar - it's a story often told 'round here.  We're trying to fix that!!!

I would recommend buying the rest of Joe's CDs as well as his two DVDs.  His new live CD is scheduled for release in late August - Live from Nowhere in Particular.  We are all drooling with anticipation.

I know that Joe could play one of those kid's guitars with the plastic strings and make it sound good-

Thanks for the welcome....I'm very keen for the live album....I like Joes live tone a lot these days, more so than the earlier clips I'd heard from the first live album....so I'm really excited.

I know someone in So-cal.....and if i remember correctly when its about 6am here, its about 3 or 4pm over there. So either you're up late, or I'm up early!!

Welcome to the forum Bender, glad to have you on board. I only discovered Joe's music a couple of months back too,and life hasn't quite been the same since!! There are more of us in here too that have discovered Joe recently...and wondered where we'd been all this time!

What matters the most though is that we are here now, and a great place it is to be too!! Enjoy it in here, and posta plenty. smile

Hi Bender..I assume the moniker has to do with bending strings and not drinking! LOL Many of us considered ourselves "in the know" and were blown away by Joe. Like Paul said, what matters is that you found him. My son-in-law is an Aussie, so I'm extra pleased to see another representative from your continent! Plus, you gave us Rick! Hi Bender welcome to the forum. Glad you finally picked up the Bonamassa waves on your radar. I felt the same way when I found Joe over two years ago. You'll soon catch up mate. Glad you clarified where the name comes from, you wouldn't want people misunderstanding that one. We have another meaning over here!

Welcome Bender .Know what you mean about Joe slipping under the radar.I go as far back as the original `Mac,Chicken Shack,Savoy Brown etc and only since we saw Joe live this year We realise that this guy is the BEST ever.We went to Berlin and cant wait for Liverpool.
