Topic: Question? what would you choose for your own show!

Hi everyone!

I'd like to say 'hello' to everyone on the forum, as a New member myself I'm not sure if this topic has been discussed, but would be great to hear from you and get your opinions.

i wondered what other members here would choose, for a joe show?

I've only seen joe live 3 times so far, and i'm looking forward to seeing him many times this september in the UK but each time i wish he'd played that gem from the earlier album.

Sooooooo my question is what would be your top choice? 

the set list would be 10 tracks with 1 cover/encore!

Well, Freebird, as much as I love listening to and playing that song, I don't think Joe should cover it- granted- it does have an amazing guitar solo at the end, but you need three guitars, a piano, bass, and drums to play that song correctly- I just don't think it would work... now, if Joe brought out a piano player and two other guitarists for it, then I would love to hear it and I think it would be absolutely amazing, but it doesn't really work with a three piece, no matter how good they are...

Hey thanks for explaining Scott (kwsjb1238) regarding the Freebird track, i see what you mean, i never looked at it like that, i just went for the great guitar solo.  sounds like you know alot about arrangements of music etc Are you a musician yourself?

Chris my man, I've got to take issue with your comment. The plane went down 5 or 6 years before you were born. Yes it may be too-heavily-rotated on some classic rock stations but it remains one of the greatest rock anthems of all time. Maybe you had to be rockin' in the 70's to fully appreciate it...?

I guess I should have been more specific.

I love Freebird by Skynyrd.  The song is amazing.

But nobody can do it justice live...NOBODY.  That includes the one member of the original band who now calls his band Lynyrd Skynyrd.  The song is one of those classic moments that can never be replicated.  I feel that way about a lot of songs.
