Topic: Anthony Gomes Playing Rock Now

AG rocked pretty hard when I saw him recently, you know....he could do
so much with his talent,but he doesn't seem to get it! The last Three
times I've seen him he didn't play anything from his cd's at that time.
He has disappointed me a bunch!,I will miss Anthony playing the
blues.It such a shame he went to rock. He not even blues rock any
more.I used to see alot of people who follow him around to town to
town, none of those people where there Sat in Memphis not even his old
friends that saw him played at Huey's when was a unknown then.That
means his loyal fans of the blues do not even like his music now.That
should tell him something.I've been reallly disappointed with AGomes
for a while....I just don't get him..Good songs...But got funky...Now
aLL Glamor.I was so looking forward to seeing Anthony Sat. nite playing
the Blues in Memphis..Well he is not Blues player any more..Such a
shame..His rock music is not good..My group of people who fans of his
got up and left after 6 songs of the glamor show ..He should not say he
is a blues player on web page,,,when really he is not.
THANK GOD WE STILL HAVE JOE PLAYING THE BLUES...

Anthony's latest cd is LIVE and it rocks. 2 songs really stick out. War on War. And when the right woman does you wrong. GOOD Bluesy rock.

Methinks Anthony is trying too hard to copy Eric Sardinas's image. Good guitarist though, I'll give him that.

It appears he is reinventing himself. Keith, I don't think he can pull it off. He looks more like Dale Evans than Sardinas. It's a little creepy to me.

I don't think he'd been wearing those clothes more than 15 minutes before those pics were taken, if you ask me. Now that I'm LISTENING to it, I'm definitely not impressed, but I'm sure he'll go over well in West Hollywood with that look. And, in the words of Forrest Gump..."That's all I have to say about that".
