Okay......somewhere in my late night websurfing......I saw Guitar Shorty's name at an upcoming event......at a tiny venue.....NOW, I gotta find it again!!

About 10 years ago, Deb and I went up the road about 20 miles to a new blues club that just opened...said they served a nice dinner, and were going to find the best blues artist they could get...well we go up there , not even knowing who was playing....turns out it was Guitar Shorty...he put on one of the rockinest/blues shows I've ever seen in the Sactown area...he took a 20 minute break between sets....walks right over to our table and asked if he could sit for awhile...he was a cool and engaging man...told us as much of his musical career that he could fit in...said he was once married to Jimi Henrix sister, and that Jimi went awol from the Army in 61 just to hear him play...any how I shook his massive hand....I really was amazed he could hit so many notes so cleanly with fingers that fat....he went "Red House" wireless too, came back in through the back door of the place...it was just one of them gigs that stick in your mind
