Re: Newcastle

Absolutely brilliant Michael!! What a finale to the UK tour it must have been. You've truly done a great job keeping us all in touch even when feeling poorly. Get home safely and rest (on your laurels) for a bit.

All the best - Tripsy

Re: Newcastle

Yep, what a night, everyone was going Bonamental. I'll leave the last (best) report to Michael as it was a "special" night for a number of reasons. Me, Sue and Michael were front and central as usual, but Michaels usual modesty will prevent him from telling you that this was his FIFTIETH JOE BONASSA GIG!!! And to celebrate this, Joe met up with Michael before the gig in Newcastle and presented Michael with a signed bottle of Sloe Gin on the tour bus - now that is one hell of a gesture from one hell of a nice guy to another. My only comment about the show, which I will steal from Michael, is that i saw last night, the very  best version of Woke up Dreaming yet and to put the icing on the cake - Joe threw the pick he used for the number straight at me with a huge wink! That pick is worth thousands if anyone wants to buy it ! LOL. What a night. Can't wait for Liverpool on the 7th July - over to you Michael!

Re: Newcastle

I was there, just behind and to the right of Geoff i think. I was hoping one of those picks would come my way at the end, but sadly not.

It was the first time ive seen him live and he blew me away, "woke up dreaming" gave me goosebumps
