Topic: Favorite Live Albums???

I saw the post about The Who's "Live at Leeds" and started thinking about my favorite live albums. I'll pick two that I could NOT live without (in alphabetical order):
Allman Bros. - Live at Fillmore East
Joe Bonamassa - A New Day Yesterday Live

I assume in June, I'll be adding another one to the list!

Favorite live albums everyone?.

In addition to many already mentioned here, I'd add Bruce and the E. St. Band 'Live in NYC'!

Cool...well in that case...Joe Bonamassa "Rockpalast"...got it on the hard drive, so I guess I could burn me a cd of it....that has to be my favorite ever, I had to put "El Mocambo" by SRV on the back burner after seeing Rockpalast

Got "Rockpalast" coming, very much looking forward to seeing it now, especially after my first live gig the other night. "El Mocambo" takes some beating too..... smile

I didn't mention Rockpalast or A.N.D.Y. because they're self evident. big_smile

How could I have forgotten the Dead's legendary Europe '72?

Re: Favorite Live Albums???

All good recommendations so far. I'd probably add Skynyrd's One more from the road and Deep Purple's Made in Japan. Also, NO live record list would be complete without TOP's Soul Vaccination: Tower of Power Live.

Foo Fighters - Skin & Bones

Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Re: Favorite Live Albums???

I'm veering off of the subject a lil' bit by posting a LIVE DVD I just got Sunday.
Elton John's 60th Birthday @ Madison Square Garden (March 2007).  It runs 330 minutes.  If you love or like  Elton John this is a real treat.  He does alot of old songs from Honky Chateau, Madman Across the Water, Tumbleweed Connection, Elton John(1970), Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, etc......  The filming of it is fantastic, star studded audience, Davey & Nigel, and Elton performs superbly.  If you ever get the chance to go to an Elton concert I highly suggest it.  I have been completely blown away each time.  There isn't anybody that plays piano like this guy in my book.  Also, Bernie Taupin comes out on stage.  Best Buy had it on special $11.99, what a steal! (IMO)
