Topic: Did anyone race B.M.X. ?

Just wondering if any of you raced back in the late 70's-early 80's or until now for that matter ?

Tell me about the car i saw parked outside your door ? Tell me what you left me waiting two or three hours for ? Tell me why when the phone rings, baby, your up and across the floor ? Please dont keep me wondering no more.....

Yes I did. It was such a great time for me traveling all around the east coast and mid west states. The best I ever did was finish 8th in my age class in Pennsylvania. I still have a bike from that era.I still ride it now and then.I also have another one that I take to a local skatepark but at 41 yrs young I cant get too "radical" as I have to work for a living and I dont heal as quick as I used to.

I can post this now because he's OK, but this weekend my grandson wrecked his quad at a show in Pittsburgh. Even fully padded he hit a concrete pole and rammed 4 teeth into his palate which he fractured! Very scary. He had surgery and lucky for me Pitts. Jeff could confirm the capabilities of the hospital. 1 tooth is gone, the other 3 are in place and he's hardwared back together. Lots of follow up tx, but no other injuries. I think he'll have a different perspective than before. I always worry about this and he always tells me "Nanny, I'm good.I won't have a wreck" to which I reply "Nobody ever plans to"...We'll see! I had a GT Pro Series Team Model.  Wanna buy it?
It was the first GT frame to have the Cantelever brake instead of the Odyssey Pitbull -
