Topic: Turning Stone!!!

Hey everyone, it's Ben Morrow here!  It's been a while since I've posted and the first time on the new forum setup.  Anyways, I just got my tickets for the Turning Stone Casino show on August 17th and I'm so excited!  I've been praising Joe to my girlfriend for a while now and told her that since she lives 30 minutes away from the casino, we are going to see Joe next time he plays there.  Well, I surprised the hell out of her today when I told her about the tickets that I got...Stage Table 6 (center of the stage)...Seats 1 and 2 (first seats from the stage)!!!  I was there last summer at the Turning Stone show and my friend and I were one table over and two seats back but I couldn't have been more thrilled to be playing air guitar that close to my hero.  Now I get to be even closer, get to see the new band, and get to share it with my girl.  If Joe throws "When She Dances" into the setlist for that night I'll be the happiest man alive!  Anyways, it's good to be back!  Later all!

Re: Turning Stone!!!

Ben,  I have been to every Turning Stone Show...and I too have been awaiting this partical show since I purchased my tickets...I got lucky and was able to buy them via the TS box office over the phone the first day tickets became available...The only obvious problem with buying them so early is...the anticipation and the high probability that I misplace, lose or throw away the tickets accidentally. I also have made it a point to bring someone new to each show.....without fail...my friends are blown away...I get a kick out of watching first timers ar a live show.... the expressions are usually the same...jaw drops.....mesmerized / speechless...and the subtle glance over to me as if to say....OH MY....NOW I GET IT ! Anywho,,,unlike you I am actually taking my boss...who is a seasoned musician, great guy, old soul...and a kid at heart but If Joe does throw..."when she dances"....I'm hoping my boss will thank me in a somewhat different manner than your girl thanks you : ) I have seats...center stage....second row....1st 2 seats....looking forward to seeing old timers and new folks alike. If I see a couple rushing out of the show and reserving a room immediately following "When she dances"....I'll know why : )

Take care,

Sogs

BEN!  Great to hear from you!  Are you still DJ-ing on the college station?

I think that Al, Fotopete and I will be making the road trip to Turning Stone.  Hope to meet you there.

Re: Turning Stone!!!

Turning Stone is always a fun venue to see Joe and the band. Plus we all get to have a  reunion of sorts of some of us Northeast Joe B fans and family. Looking forward to the show and seeing all the familiar faces. See you all there !!!!  LG
