Joe having a Les Paul !!
Sweet.
I can't think of a better tribute to a player (sorry Fender!!).
I waited 50 years to get a Les Paul and now also have an American Strat so the comment is not driven by being a Gibson owner.

The bitter ?

I'm Left Handed !!
I can't shout this loudly enough....AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH !!
Even if I could afford another Gibson it won't be made LH (presumably).
Oh the frustration !!


BTW, Waiting the 50 years was a big mistake.
The guitar is simply awesome.
If, like me you always thought you'd never afford a Les Paul because there's always something more important in line for the cash, then take my advice. DON'T WAIT !! Life is not infinate and the old cliche of "it's not a dress rehersal" is so true. I can't believe the improvement in sound over my other guitar (pre Fender one) and really wish I'd got it earlier. And they are such beautiful objects anyway regardless of the sound they make !! Just looking at it gives me pleaseure smile

I just hope that you right handers on the forum who want a Joe one .....and who wouldn't......can find the cash.

I'm right-handed, I want the guitar and I'm pretty sure I don't have the cash.  Don't worry though, I'm going to print your post and show it to my hubby.  Maybe then I'll get one. big_smile
