Re: SORRY BLUESMAN

Favre injured his elbow and separated his shoulder on his throwing arm. Will this be the end of his consecutive game streak?

I'm just saying.

Re: SORRY BLUESMAN

Only bright spot was Aaron Rogers - so glad to see him do well.
I couldn't stand to watch the awful kickoff coverage, awful defense
backs (really missed Woodsen) and where the heck (being nice here)
was our game plan?  Just venting....  Ref's were stellar too.....as usual.

Patrick Crayton got me some mad fantasy points last night. The Cowboys are for real. Super Bowl-bound!

Who knows Nancy? A couple of years ago he played with a right hand that was so swollen he could barley grip the ball. I don't think he missed hardly any time in any of the games. Separated shoulders are pretty tough though. I didn't know that happened until you just told me. I saw when he got hit and thought maybe he just got really banged on his elbow (funny bone) making his arm go numb. He's got a little over a week, I wouldn't put it past him to start in the Oakland game on December 9th.

Roy

If the Packers are smart, they will sit his a** on the bench and get him ready for the real season. I'm thinking they don't need Brett in there to beat Oakland...sorry to any Raiders fans out there.

Hey Gary,

We up here in Cheeseland we appreciate your praise of BF. He is one of those throw back guys. You know the type, he would have been an outstanding gladiator in Roman times. As it turns out, the separated shoulder injury to his left shoulder is just an aggravation of an injury that he suffered 15 years ago. The right elbow is a bruise on a muscle in that area. So the Packer's coach, Mike McCarthy, already announced that Favre will start against Oakland a week from Sunday. I'm sure he was told by Favre himself, that there was no way they were going to hold him out of the game. Once Brett Favre decides to retire, he will be missed by many Packer fans, but also by many fans of the NFL in general. I think the good Lord broke the mold after Brett was born, at least for quarterbacks.

Roy

I hope Mr. Favre knows what he's doing by playing. Another hit or roll over on that shoulder...
Obviously, the man has nothing to prove.

Walter Payton had the same mentality when it came to playing hurt.I will say, being his arm, will have more of a factor in his play.

Re: SORRY BLUESMAN

Hey Roy, you know as well as I that Dallas & Green Bay will meet again in another month or so.  Not saying Cowboys ain't great, they are, but Packers could have beat them and might on another night down the road.  FEw bad calls, too many penalties, using up all their challenges, ect and Favre having a bad night like he does from time to time; they lost.  Outcome could well be different story in nx game; and you know that too.

Steelers are having probs too.

Re: SORRY BLUESMAN

Actually, based on team jersey sales, Mary is correct. Here's the rundown on sales of NFL jerseys...look at who's number two! Packers are #10.
TEAMS
1. Cowboys
2. Bears
3. Steelers
4. Colts
5. Patriots
6. Eagles
7. Redskins
8. Chargers
9. Broncos
10. Packers

Watch it Mary. The Pack only lost by 10 and everything went against them at Texas Stadium. There's still 4 games left and anything could happen. Listen to Zhurh from Alaska, a man's man. He knows the NEXT time it's going to be different. Would Romo chew off his leg to win a game? I don't think so. But Brett will!! Let's not forget also, that Tony Romo is a native Wisconsin boy. Hey, we don't just have milk, cheese and beer up here. There are some pretty tough SOB's that originate in these parts. Right Zhurh? Hey Ron, shoot a couple of Caribou for me. Take a bite out of the heart of one of 'em while it's still beating. Then send it Priority mail to me and I'll do the same. Can you say, "Blood Brothers?"

Romo is the new Brett Favre. Brett Favre is still Brett Favre though. But Romo is the new one.

Remember, when it's all said and done, Favre is 0-10 at Texas Stadium all-time. And that ain't gonna change.

Packers are # 10 on the list because there is no merchandise for sale around Wisc -
before we went to the last game I looked high and low for a women's Packer jacket
and guess what - NONE!  Christmas coming and no Packer stuff for sale - what is
wrong with the stores in Wisc ?????

Jaci,
I'd say shop the internet, but that's always a pain when you're buying clothes or shoes...stuff you want to try on before you buy!
It would be interesting if they tracked sales of NFL team merchandise outside of each team's state...that might give a better indication of "America's Team". Although it's interesting that the NY teams aren't on this list.

What are you drunk or on acid??? I'm assuming both, or don't you recall how Romo's sure hands cost the Cowboy's their chance to advance last season. Romo needs at least 5 years of stellar play to atone for that bonehead play. Romo couldn't carry Montana's jock strap as well as a number of other QB's.

Brett Favre:
      17th year in the league
    249 straight starts at quarterback
    436 touchdown passes
60,912 total passing yards (34.6 miles)
1,768 rushing yards (usually running for his life)
MVP 3 times (only 3 time MVP in history and he did it 3 years in a row)
Winning quarterback of Super Bowl XXXI

Tony Romo:
      3rd year in the league
    44 total games
    52 touchdown passes (not bad)
6,255 total passing yards (3.6 miles)
   186 rushing yards

I know you'll say that Favre has thrown a ton of interceptions, which is true. But Romo's interception to touchdown ratio isn't that much better than Favre's (51.9 % to 64.9%). And Marino's was no stellar amount either at 60%. Let's give Tony a few more years in the league before we start comparing him to Brett, shall we?

Roy

I'm already going to call it. He's got that thing that makes a great quarterback.
