Topic: Our Joe photoalbum

After a couple of weeks both busy with work and everything else me and Annelies finaly had some time to have to visit each other. She invited me to come over to her place near the nice town Katwijk and last friday we had set the date.
After a nice cup of tea and lots of talking (we're girls, that's what we do), I had a nice suprise for her.
After my trip to the US this summer we've made a lot of pictures.
And wanted to make a book out of them. In holland there are lots of photoshops, where you can make an photoalbum yourself on the internet (after downloading a program) and than you can design it yourself. My Holiday pics came out right,so i decided to make an album from the Joe shows we visited together this year.
I made a nice book +- 30 pages with all beautifull pics from the Bospop, Uk and Paradiso gigs we visited this year. I made a nice black background,so the pics came out great.
The best thing from this all is that you can have it printed with a hard cover. So it just looks like a book.

Annelies was very happy with this. I told her that she was the proud owner of a Joe (and band) photo album, from which there are only 2 copys out (hers and mine).

We talked a lot more, went shopping, got back to her place and talked a lot more.
About Joe, the shows and watched some of Joe's shows she had on dvd.
After a nice diner Annelies cooked for us. We had a nice cup of tea and around 23h we said our goodbyes. (I had to work the next day).
We had a great time and decided to do this more often.
The funny thing is that we met via this Forum.
We met a Joe's show in Brussels this februari and we had a click right away.
Now we are good friends and try to visit every Joe show in Holland. (we have succeed in that so far)

Here are 2 pics from that book:

Re: Our Joe photoalbum

Hi Marianne - what a thoughtful thing to have done and such a lovely surprise for Annelies as well.  It sounds like you certainly had a typical 'girly' day: shopping, talking, more shopping, more talking and well deserved cups of tea.  Did I mention talking?  Oh and a bit of Joe for good measure!  Sounds like a fairly perfect day to me (men wouldn't understand!).  I think it's wonderful that you and Annelies are such good friends now having met on the forum and hope to see you both in The Hague next March (yes, we are going to Holland once again).

Gosh Marianne,

That sure is a wonderful thing you did for Annelies! Aren't the people you meet through Joe's Forum fantastic? I've chatted with Annelies via E-mail too and she is a wonderful person. Jacque (Jaci on the Forum) and I met this way too and I can't tell you how many shows I've seen with her since July. Plus, her husband Ken, Jacque, my son Ben and I went to the Green Bay Packer football game this past Sunday together and has just a terrific time!! Yes, there are some great people on the Forum, including yourself! smile
