Topic: About time I did this.

Hello to everyone here on the Bonamassa Forums!

Whenever I have a bout of Bonamassa fandom, I work my way here and read some posts.  After a couple weeks of doing this, I broke down and signed up.

Just a little bit about myself for y'all. My name's Bryan Koepp, 20 years old, and I'm a chemical engineering major up at Michigan Tech in Houghton, MI. In my spare time I enjoy good music ranging from blues to classic rock to new rock to metal, prefereably blues and classic rock.  I also DJ at the college radio station where I play aforementioned favorites and generally play Bonamassa once a week.

Btw, if anyone is going to Oneida Casino to see Joe on this coming Monday, look for a kid and a long, gray-haired hippie wearing a ZZ Top T-shirt, that's me and my dad. Come say hi.

See you all around.

Hey Bryan,
Welcome to "Joe's Living Room"   Find yourself a comfy chair and enjoy!  We love hearing from bright chemical engineering students like yourself.  You and Dad obviously have great taste in music.  Have fun at the concert and we hope to see a review from you!

Hi Kid and welcome to Joe world! It's always a great thing when a young'in joins in!! I know your Dad and you are going to have a wonderful time at the show. There will be Bonamaniacs there...just look for the shirts...Thanks for the D.J. work. You are doing Street Team work already. Getting college aged audiences exposed to Joe is so important. Let us know how the show goes.....Cathy

Re: About time I did this.

Bryan,
Welcome to the forum. I saw Joe last night in Milwaukee and the night before in Chicago. My wife and I were actually sitting in Milwaukee having breakfast talking about ditching work Monday and heading up to the casino to see Joe one more time.
Unfortunately, the responsible adult in me reared his ugly head and we drove home instead.
I'm sure you'll see an awesome show...Joe was really "on" the past two nights.
Come back and let us know what you think.

I did last weekend. My show is on saturday mornings and I came home this weekend for the concert so I didn't plug it this weekend but I did last weekend with an all Blues show which ended with I Don't Live Anywhere and Black Night (I think. I'd have to check.) Next semester I'm going to ask for a better slot since college students aren't generally up saturday mornings.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Trying to get college students to listen to Joe isn't exactly easy, so thanks for the motivation as well.

Re: About time I did this.

Hey Bryan,
Welcome to the forum!  It's interesting to hear The Kid's comments about some of the music taste of college students. I've been hearing the same story from my freshman, although two guys just started a show with prog rock, so there's hope. These guys got the 11:30 PM -1:00 AM slot.  You're right about the audience on Saturday morning...my son's college serves breakfast all day until dinnertime! You could always throw in a few Breakfast with the Beatles tunes to capture some early risers! Also, consider playing Zep,Tull, and Blind Faith, back to back with Joe's versions of their songs, it just shows the ultimate respect & talent!!!  Welcome again to Bonamassaland!!! smile

Needs to be once a day at least. You owe it to your listeners cool

Bryan...

I do you a disservice and I'm sorry.
I've just realised your show is only once a week.
Enjoy Joe. It's an awesome ride.
