Topic: Tommy Castro @ Slims

Last Saturdays edition of the Tommy's Legendary Rhythm & Blues Revue was
a pure joy to witness. Added to his announced lineup was Elvin
Bishop. Tommy, Ronnie Baker Brooks and Elvin did an estended guitar
battle where each tried to top the other that was as good as good can
be--kind of great! Before the evening was over Tommy brought up some
of his local pals to join in on the fun which included Mark Hummel plus
Johnny Ace and Cathy Lemons and their drummer and Tommy's boyhood pal
Artie Chavez for some ROFL musical fun. One of the show stoppers (for
me) was Deanna Bogart leading the Revue band in a long jam on Billy
Preston's "Will It Go Round In Circles" with great solos by all
starting on the left and going artist by artist across the stage and
back just like the Circle they were riffing on. Don't miss your chance-
if you get a chance-to catch the Revue band if it hits a town near
you. You won't be sorry and that's a fact.

Love Tommy - have seen him many time and have all the CD's - such a nice
person too.  Just checked his dates and of course nothing in Wisconsin - crap!
