Absolutely wonderful pictures of Joe! And what can can I say about Django? It took my breath away! Absolutely Fabulous!! Thank you for sharing these with us.
Hey anyone,
Am I wrong or has Joe picked himself up a Blue Gigliotti Strat? It surely is an absolutely beautiful guitar!!
Roy
Roy,
Yup, Joe is playing Django on his Blue Gigliotti GS in the YouTube clip Ramonster filmed at the Amsterdam show Oct 12. As far as I know, Joe has had the Blue Gigliotti GS at least since before Dec. 2005 because my husband and I saw him play it at Jazz Alley in Seattle, WA at that time.
As a matter of fact, we so loved the look and tone of the blue Gigliotti GS after seeing Joe play it, that I bought one for my husband!!! My hubby is on the Gigliotti website three times (we now have three Gigliottis: 2 GTs, 1 GS). Check it out: http://www.gigliottiguitars.com/html/contact.htm ("Patrick Gigliotti & Mel") and twice on http://www.gigliottiguitars.com/html/photos.htm ("Mel [aka Little Eddie]" and "Patrick Gigliotti & Mel"), the same page as JOE!!!! You CANNOT beat the tone of the Gigliotti guitars and the way Joe makes them sound! We absolutely love ours!
Bad Kitty
Dear Bad Kitty (That sounds a little X-rated, doesn't it?),
If your hubby is OK with it, can I marry you for a week or two so you can buy me a Gigliotti? He must be one heck of a wonderful husband! I've got to be nice all year long so the "One Who Must Be Obeyed" at least buys me a Christmas card. Anyway, they sure are beautiful guitars, and you have 3 of them? At least now I know someone who's got some spare change laying around!!
Roy
Roy,
My hubby says not a chance (on the marriage for a week or two--nice try) but he also wanted you to know that the "Gigliotti 3" are his fav guitars. I actually talked to Patrick at Joe's show in Seattle, about ordering Mel a white Gigliotti GT!!!!! And then there were four...
Here's a little ditty for you:
So, you see,
my man takes good, good
care of me,
And that's why, oh yeah,
he has Gigliotti 3!
A love so true,
is never blue,
A love forever more,
Brings a good man, oh yeah,
Gigliotti 4!
Bad Bad Kitty
And it's usually women complaining all the good men are taken. How times have changed! Anyway back to the show reviews, EXCELLENT feedback from all of you! Welcome newcomers, and all others who really are special in The Netherlands (and other lands!).
Rock On & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
P.S. Thanks for the Photos and Video Ramon! I cross-referenced your site with your friend Marianne, some nice photos there too... I see Annalies too, and in the comedy voice of Billy Crystal as Fernando Lamas-"...you all look Marvelous"!

Hello you all,
everything has already been said about the show last friday. On the other hand, we are still talking about it here. What a perfect evening. It was our first show but we already have the tickets for Eindhoven and we will buy them for Den Haag too. Joe, you are fabulous!!!
Nice to meet the other forummembers and Eva, no doubt about it:it was your BOYfriend!
Have a good week!
Marijke
Hallo you all,
After a long Joe weekend I'll tell how it was for me.
Joe and band were: BRILLIANT, AWESOME, FANTASTIC,PHENOMENAL,TERRIFIC!!!
But not only Joe was great, all Friday was great.
I left home Friday 1300 and wett to Amsterdam by train, where I arrived at 16.00
A quick check in at the hotel and then by tramway to Paradiso, arriving at 17.00. Forummembers Yvonne and husband from Italy, Paul and Philippa, and Lynn B and husband from England, Amsterhammer(real name George original from USA) were already waiting.
Gave the tickets to Yvonne and Paul and we went to the Hardrockcafe to meet Annelies, Marianne, Barbara and Eva and friend. Unfortunately it was full so we went to the Irish pub beside to have a drink. At 18.15 we left for Paradiso to be the first in line. There I met Geko, Rudi, my best friend and his wife Anneke, their oldest son Thomas.
Geko made a keyholder with a guitar with the name Joe in it. Very nice and definately something for the Joe merchandising I think!!! I got the first one as a present. Thanks Geko!! He left the line to have a meal and I didn't see him anymore because doors opened and LYN.B from the forum was the first to get in!!We ran to the stage and had the best place , one meter from Joe.
I looked aside and there was Ramonster from th e forum with his girlfriend. Very nice guy too.
19.25 Scott mcKeon started his 25 minutes set. He played loud and good, young man and the hope of British bluesyoungsters. Has 2 good Cd"s out.
Then at 20.15 Joe, Carmine, Rick and Bogie come on stage and the rest is HISTORY!!Brilliant set, very varying: electric, acoustic, great singing, band, solo. It was more diverse than all 10 shows I saw before.
After almost 2 hours including 2 encores it was over. Paradiso was blown away!!
Then I met marijke from the forum for a little chat but she had to leave.I went to the toilet, actually I felt to at 20.00 but I didn't want to give up the spot. When I went to it, 2 people asked me about my -Always on the road- T shirt. One guy wanted to give 100 Euro's for it. Rudi my friend has the same in white and he had the same!! Collectorsitem I guess. I bought the new Tshirt too.
I stayed for 2 hours in paradiso and went to my hotel, no cafe, no.pub, nothing to spoil this evening.
Next day I visited Amsterdam en was homa at 1800.
And guess what:
My wife doesn't like my guitarmusic at all, but what was on the stereo ; SLOE GIN.
and my children Laura 9years and Bram 6 were singing along and know the lyrics. What a homecoming I heard it through the open window and felt tears in my eyes. Stupid, sentimental??? maybe but Joe is getting a part of our family life. Sinde than whole weekend till now only Sloe Gin CD is playing.
Today: sending/ recieving emails to forummembers, calling people about the show and enjoying after.
Tomorrow I'll buy 4 tickets for the show on the 15th of March in The Hague. so it goes on and on and on...I want to thank forummembers
Marianne, Annelies, Barbara, Lyn. B and husband, Eva and friend, Geko, Ramon and girlfriend. Amsterhammer(george), Paul and Philippa, Yvonne and husband, Eric W. for this wonderful evening.Geoff Johnson and Michael Lynch I felt sorry for you, you couldn't come. Maybe next time and if you need tickets for a Joe show in Holland just let me know in time, that counts for all forummembers of course. It is much easier that way.
Now I stop took me 2 hours and two times.time. First time almost finished, wrong button ; everything gone.
Hope to meet you all again at another show.
Andre Wittebroek.
Hey Andre, great write up on the show and your experience with your family. That is really cool...
Hallo Marijke
You said you wanted tickets for Den Haag March the 15th but then you must be very very fast. I was at the postoffice at 17.30 and the code was already red, meaning there are only 10-15 tickets left!!
It will be sold out in a few minutes Jan the blueslover from the postoffice told me .
Never heard before that a Joe show is sold out in 2 days 5 months before the show. Joe is getting bigger and bigger and we from the forum keep on spreading the word and succesfully it seems!!!
Hopefully till then!
Andre Wittebroek.
Hi Andre,
Don't know where you got that info from, but on www.ticketmaster.nl there were still a lot of tickets available for The Hague.
Have fun!
Joost
ups mean Boyfrind !!!!......das die alle so peinlich genau mit lesen ......lol
Hey guys,
Just came back from Amsterdam and can move neither my feet nor my legs. Actually my whole body is aching with the pain of 4 days walking through this beautiful city and jumping around at the concert.
As the movement from my computer to my bed will need some preparation - time I´ll make it short for today :If that Friday wasn´t the perfect Friday then I don´t now what a perfect Friday should be like.
I love you all! ;-)Good night!
P.S.:

Come on, Geko - yes he has long hair, but does that make him my "girlfriend" ?! Morgen schreib ich dir mal eine e-mail wegen dem Anhänger und den Videos, die ich gemacht hab!

Wow, I think I ordered my tickets in just time then (tonight). See you guys there.
hallo RC 1200,
I got the information from the postoffice in Winterswijk an official presales address, always buy my tickets there.
The man who works behind the counter Jan Riethorst also does the presales. I know him well and he is a blueslover too.
He always gioves me informations about shows.
He let me look at the computer, I bought 4 tickets for The Hague and behind the venue on the list was a littele square block. he told me thar ment , they are selling the last tickets. It's a code for that.
I don't know it, but he works there, so he must know.
Other shows no red block, enough tickets. Only one had a green block, forgotten
which show and that meant sales go fast.
Andre Wittebroek.

Haha , habs dir schon verziehen !
I just wanted to tell all the rest of you that I really enjoyed meeting you - It´s just special to watch a Joe concert with all of you forum friends ... marching in front of the Paradiso with Lyn, talking to Andre about german literature (man, I knew that the "Schimmelreiter" is by Theodor Storm, I just don´t like the book ), and just having a laugh with all of you about piled cigarrets, vegetable burgers and Joe that is throwing his guitars around ....
It was a fantastic evening and I was sorry that I couldn´t say goodbye to some of you properly, because I lost the crowd somehow and later went down backstage with Annelies, Marianne and Barbara.
But I sure think that we´ll meet again sometime somewhere in Europe .
Lots of greetings to all of you, Eva
P.S.: Would be great if you manage to put up the server, Jan - then we can exchange all our pics and videos!
No problem, I've got my tickets. So I'm fine. I alway order my tickets online. Way easier than going into town and stand in line ;-)

Hello fans
Thanks for the good reviews and other reactions on the Paradiso event. My wife and I had a great time there (her first Joe show, Django on the blue Gigliotti was her favourite). Everything has already been said, I only want to add, that all the remarks I made in the earlier posts after the relaease of Sloe Gin are proved again by Joe, Carmine, Rick and Bogie: the live performances are the best. Everything comes together. The flexibility in their playing, diversity in songs (melodic, sensitive, blasting everyone away) every tone is right and clear. I can't recall to have anybody else hear alter their own songs, this is what makes Joe so different and unique. Man, you touched some peoples hearts.
I managed to buy my tickets for Utrecht already, thanks for the tips from all you fellow forum members. Sorry we missed each other in the Hard Rock cafe, we arrived at 18.30, but learned you were at the neighbours. Good to have shaken some hands at the front. I missed the 12-string by 2 meters, damned short arms :-)
Tomorrow night Rush in Rotterdam and saturday Carl Palmer (ex Emerson, Lake and P) in de Noot Hoogland. He keeps a bluesband for his hobby, tough weeks these are.
Greets, Eric
Hi Andre,
I got home from work tonight and my husband already ordered the tickets! (Yes, he is the best!)
So, we will be there!
Marijke
Are you all going to Den Haag then?
I was thinking of Utrecht and Heerhugowaard as there's no show in Amsterdam - and because one show wouldn't be enough.

We're seriously thinking about getting tickets for The Hague in March! We were talking to an English waitress in one of the cafes in Amsterdam and she said The Hague is a beautiful city and more typically 'Holland' than Amsterdam. And wouldn't it be tulip time around March? I need to bake some of Eva's chocolate cake and see if it can work its magic on LK!
Andre has mailed me some photo's, I put them online in a special album at: http://ramonzin.hyves.nl/album/18266218 … _Wit/e0aT/
Thanks for the pics, Ramonster.
Andre - I mailed you right back after I received your mail, did you get it?
