Gentleman's Blues Club

This is a project created by Mike Stover, original member and bass player for BB Chung King and the screaming Budda Heads. I met Mike when he was playing weekly with Philip Sayce. As the info in the link (first post) states in addition to Philip Sayce, BB Chung King, Dave Osti the others are all experianced musicans who haved recorded, played and toured with several big names. I was at the CD release party and attended several of the local performances that had differant members at any given time but always Mike Stover.  All of the members are west coast (So Cal) based.
Their first CD is great showing the musianship and talent of its members. One of my favorite tracks is "Miser Blues" written by BB Chung King with Philip Sayce doing vocals only, (BB Chung King and Dave Osti on guitars). In my opinion one of Philip's best vocal performances to date.

All of the people involved are still performing with their own bands, doing studio work and/or touring with others. I am hoping that more recordings and live dates will be coming from The GBC soon!
