Topic: Alone To Joe

Hey people who like joe as much as i do big_smile,

I have a ticket to Joe in Paradiso, and i was planning to go with a good friend of me, but because he was bussy with moving, he forgot to buy a ticket. So now he is trying as hard as he can to get a ticket but if he cant get a ticket i have to go alone...

but would i realy be alone? ;-)

Re: Alone To Joe

Hey Jan,
You won´t be alone ... you can be sure of that wink . I don´t know how many of us are going now, but when we last discussed it a moth or two ago we were about 10 people. I think there must be more by now. We want to meet before the show, but haven´t discussed where and when yet - we´ll do that a few weeks before the show.
Looking forward to see you and hope your friend can get a ticket somehow .....
Greetz, Eva

You will not be alone smile

Re: Alone To Joe

Hallo Jan,
no way you will be alone!! As Eva says, there will be a lot of us. My husband and me bring one of our daughters and our neighbours along and we all will keep in touch to see if it is possible to meet before the show. We keep the whole day free to be able to come to Amsterdam early enough.
I'm looking forward to it!!!

Re: Alone To Joe

hahahahaha thats the spirrit big_smile... why not meet at the hard rock cafee around the corner? bring a cd of joe with you and hope they  will play it over and over again tongue

to marijke: you have to take the whole day to be early in amsterdam? how far do you have to travel.. tongue

Re: Alone To Joe

Re: Alone To Joe

Wow, I thought travelling to a different state was an impressive show of loyalty (7 shows in 6 months in 5 states by the end of November), but some of you folks are travelling to a different country!!  Of all the places I'd love to see Joe, Amsterdam has to be near the top of the list.  I went to Harrisburg by myself, but I was hardly alone!

Bonamania is a disease with no cure.  Give it to all your friends.

Re: Alone To Joe

I'm there too, so is Geko and Michael and Annelies and Marianne and more. 2 weeks before the show I will do a suggestion what time to meet. I think around 17.00. Maybe in front of Paradiso, if anyone has other ideas.. Hard Rock cafe seems fine to me too but don't know where it is. Can go there after meeting at Paradiso. We'll see.

For the people from Holland:

There is a wonderful interview in the magazine Gitarist with Joe and Scott Mckeon. Joe says : The Fillmore West and Paradiso: there aren't so many magical places in the world!!!!!

There also is an interview in the magazine Revolver and a review of Sloe Gin. It says that Joe sings the song Seagull from Paul Rodgers and to do that you have guts!
And Joe does it very very good.

In Aardschok there is a review too. Last sentence: What an artist!!!

I don't know how to scan it and it is in Dutch, but top reviews.

Andre Wittebroek.

You can reach the Hard Rock best by taking a tram. Lines 2, 5, 7, 10 will take you to Leidseplein. Walk from Leidseplein toward the live music venue, Paradiso. Before you get to Paradiso, take a right onto Max Euweplein. Another landmark is the Holland Casino...they share the same square!

Just let me know where and when and we'll be there!!  It's going to be a fantastic night, and we're soooo looking forward to it already!

Re: Alone To Joe

I cant wait to be at the concert... it is taking to long... a whole moth of waiting is hard you know tongue

Re: Alone To Joe

Hi Jan,
we only have to drive ca 1,5 hours to Amsterdam. But because we like A'dam we will come early enough to also have a great afternoon before a great show. And, goed plan, the cafe!

Re: Alone To Joe

okej than.. yeah I thought the rock cafe was a good place to warm up.. last time he was in paradiso I went to the cafe afterwards... it's also nice for the people who aren't comming from holland because the people behind the bar are speaking english.. dont even know if they can understand dutch tongue
