Topic: Joe And Frank Marino...Well Almost

Just found out from a Marino fan buddy of mine that Frank is playing Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, Ca. the night before Joe plays Moe's 9/27. Then at the end of Sept. Joe plays the Belly Up in Solana Beach, Ca. Sept. 30 and Frank is there on 10/1. This is like the planets aligning just right or something crazy like that. Both towns are ideal vacation spots on the coast coupled with killer back to back shredfests. Gonna have to find a way to pull one of these off.

No it would be great if they played together at one or both...Their schedules don't seem to have conflicts, so.....

Unfortunately each of them will be down the road just before the other rolls in. If anybody heard a sonic boom in cyberspace a little while ago that was Shred returning my e-mail faster than sound when i tipped him to this close call. Needless to say he was down with the Santa Cruz plan.

Perhaps a little co-urging plan is in order...an extra day in Santa Cruz or San Diego...busses DO need maintenance! I see Frank & Mahogany Rush can't stay in Santa Cruz though, and dang they transpose appearance order at the Belly Up, with Joe needing to be in Tuscon the 2nd...not that far a trip though...

I'm thinking I'll hit both artists, both shows at both places...why not? Joe go to the Del Mar Racetrack with me one extra day or hit the beach and get some paleness removed!

I tried to get tix as soon as I e-mailed you, them weeners never picked up. I'm not missing Frank. I got a live cd "Pittsburgh Jeff" sent me, I got some live dvds also that he sent. If the dvds are anything like the cds I'm going to start drinking again real quick to mellow out! Some of those songs go on forever.

You got me wondering if Joe has ever met Frank, Joe have you? It would be something to see that axe fest.

Solana Beach is the only date that it could logistically happen. Joe lives in SoCal and one more day close to home. Whatta ya think Joe? Could this possibly happen?
