It's Twitter. It's meaningless.  Quick, throwaway entertainment for seeing pictures of cats and guitars, and a way to market your product/service/band/brand.  Too bad people put so much stock and put emotional investment into this.  The fact is, you simply can't have a conversation on "social" media.  The illusion of having  conversation draws people in and gets them worked up, but it's utterly hollow.  If Joe & Richie were actually talking face to face it wouldn't be an issue at all. Just my 2c.
