"Keep listening and calling them (866-I LOVE WJ) and emailing them. You can find their contact info at http://www.waltonandjohnson.com"

I don't frequent adult sites.

I still have hope for and think Bob and Tom syndicated morning show is something that could happen. They are old classic rockers that have had Joe Satriani, Johnny A, and others in the studio. I have e-mailed them in the past and someone here said that they were familiar with Joe. Any body in Indy might see what they can do.

I've e-mail them twice, but haven't heard back. But, I'm sure game for sending another one there way. I've been thinking about sending one again anyway.

Thanks for the motivation!

Re: JB Houston Radio News

I emailed them and I did get a reply. Walton saying that Joe is a great Talent and he is happy to promote. Let us know when Joe is going to be on, cause quite frankly, I cannot stand talk radio and that is all these guys do. There is no music except as you said, as an intro. And then it is in the background and you only hear a few bars. I am glad you guys get to hear Joe being played down there in Houston, but up here in Dallas it is still Bona-barren on the airwaves. Thank God for Bandit Blues. Listening to it now and they are playing A New Day Yesterday as I type.

Thanks to the efforts of Glen Winfrey, and the hard work and persistance of the Houston Area Street Team members, KIOL-FM Rock 103.7 in Houston has received a press kit and all of Joe's catalog, and have begun playing Joe on the radio!

More specifically, Walton and Johnson, a morning show originating in Houston and syndicated in Dallas (The Bone), New Orleans (Bayou 95.7), Baton Rouge (Eagle 98.1), and Biloxi (z95.3 FM), Temple/Kileen (The Eagle), Lake Charles (The Pirate) and other markets I'm sure I'm not aware of - agreed to invite Joe to play live during their show while Joe is in Texas in July.

They enjoy having quality live music in the studio and love to promote - several artists including Arc  Angels..Ian Moore...Aaron Neville..Melissa  Ethridge...Better Than  Ezra...Jerry Jeff Walker...Gary Hoey... Kip Attaway...  Dash  Riprock..Chicago Al...Red Peters..Junior Brown..Govt   Mule..Skynyrd. Kenny Wayne Shepherd..etc.... have all played on their show in the past.

After many months of emails, phone calls, and donuts, Glen and I met with the folks at the station today. They were very receptive and within 15 minutes of the conclusion of our visit, "Traveling South" was blasting across their markets. They had already picked some cuts from previous releases they liked, but they now have "You and Me" to play from and will do so.

While this is a great accomplishment in the promotion of "You and Me" and the upcoming shows, please join us in letting the "Walton and Johnson" show know that you appreciate them inviting Joe to play and for playing his music and promoting his upcoming shows.

Walton and Johnson can be reached via the contact information on their web site - Walton and Johnson Show

Their email addresses are listed and they do read them daily.

Having Joe on the radio in one of the largest markets in the US, as well as the other syndicated markets can't hurt!

We'll keep you posted on further developments - they are coming!

Cheers,

Phil Cornell

Thanks again Phil.... and look forward to seeing you on Friday!

Re: JB Houston Radio News

I think I'm at the point where I'm pissing off the people at one radio station here with all my calls. The thing is, they used to play Joe. In fact, they were responsible for the tickets to my first Joe show! Now? Unless your name Matthews or Crow, or you don't have a last name, you don't get played. And they're the indie station in town.

I've actually GIVEN them copies of CDs. I've called. I take part in their programming surveys and have suggested more Joe and blues rock in general.

I'm open to suggestions in getting them to open their eyes and ears about Joe.

The blues isn't about a look or a specific sound, the blues is something deep within. But the sound doesn't hurt things, you know? ~ Ben Hernandez

Can you say, "Small record label = no airplay."
