Topic: Lazer Lloyd

Opening act at the Thursday night kickoff for Mammoth’s 4 day Bluesapalooza.
We were enthralled, and enormously pleased, as was the crowd who demanded an encore. Long hair and beard with a floppy hat, he looked like a hillbilly from the sticks, and we  weren’t exactly sure what to expect. We got the works from a master musician. Blues, folk, bluegrass and even a country tune as he demonstrated mastery on an array of guitars. I was especially enthralled with his electric acoustic play via a pedal board producing sounds I’d never heard from an acoustic before. The wife said, get down there and buy his cd’s, so I did, getting 3 and hanging out to meet him. Turns out he’s an Orthodox Jew from Israel. Helen came down to make sure I’d got the goods and mentioned we knew another Israeli musician of some renown, Tal Bergman. “Oh, he’s played with Bonamassa. Our wives are from the same home town!”
Small world and a musician that’s leaped to the top of my must-see list. He should be on yours too.

Re: Lazer Lloyd

Excellent choice Rick.  Picked up his self-titled album from 2015.  Great playing and a soulful voice.

Re: Lazer Lloyd

Been listening to the two artists I've heard lately and they're both extremely gifted.  The one song that keeps coming back to me is Razer LLoyd's "Backstreets".  This is a very powerful song that should give all Americans hope in these troubling times.  The chat after the song is worth sticking around to hear.
