Topic: Wiring kits.

I have one of the original run JB Epiphone Les Paul Gold tops and I am considering replacing the wiring with a new kit. The pots are the main weakness of the guitar. Anyone done this already could suggest the best makers/ kits. At present I am considering keeping the BB2 and 3 pickups but would still be open to suggestions. The guitar is still a killer for the money and is my go to guitar. I am based in the UK but all options are worth considering. Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Wiring kits.

Go to RS Guitar works get their pre-built kit
Watch for pot shaft length as a Gibson and Epiphone need different legnths due to cap thickness

Spring the coin on one of the Bonamassa pickup sets.

Thanks for that, I do seem to remember somewhere I think it may have been Ron mentioning them before. I thought I would do the wiring first to see the differences before moving on to the pick ups. big_smile

well this topic should have been in the 'gear' section.. but I don't think that would make a difference anymore.

Since Joe doesn't come to his own fan forum any more and chat.. most of the guitar guys/gals have gone..

I bought one from Home Of Tone www.homeoftone.co.uk previously that was pretty good. This time around I just bought the pots, caps and wire and made my own though.

Re: Wiring kits.

Whereabouts in the UK are you? I know a couple of guys who could rewire it for you if you're up North.
