Thanks reo....I wonder what the fifth song was...and if he will keep Sloe Gin in the set.
Really hard for me to have missed the show last night...it wasn't very close but if not for personal stuff i would have gone...just bad timing blahblah
I wonder if different set tonight...and also why the two shows so 'close' together...instead of Baltimore big_smile
good to hear about it though.

#5 was I Get Evil today, and encore was Hummingbird ( Joe was wearing an Anton style beret smile  )

Great show tonight in Easton ... cool

It was a real treat hearing Hummingbird tonight, one of my favorite Joe tunes.

Do people realize you can turn a phone sideways and still take a picture or video?  Nice video but it would have been nice to see more of the interaction between Duke and Joe.

04/27- 04/28 Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Hampton Beach, NH

It is very very hard for me to wright a review of Joe's show that I have seen, because it is not just a show - it is everything that goes into it before and after: waiting for months and months before, thinking about it all the time, then finally driving there usually hours before the show with a head full of anticipation. Than  - watching JOE perform...  I have no words to describe what I feel every time. So in love with him as a musician and personality.

Joe's band is excellent, world class musicians.
New songs are are... omg, so waiting for new album

Joe solos are outstanding, his voice sounds amazing. Highlights for me: Breaking Someones Home, Driving Toward the Daylight, How Many More Times and yes - Self Inflicted Wounds, felt like this song spoke directly to me.

Re: US Spring tour 2018

Really enjoyed the Rochester show! Nice takes on No Good Place for the Lonely, Last Kiss and Slow Train. Very muddy sound system for the first 4 songs (all the new ones) but then it cleared. There were 4 of us, about 11 rows back in the center and we all thought the first 4 songs just weren't clear sound wise. Beyond that, we all loved it!

Very grateful to be able to see him perform so close to home, but I find myself wondering why Joe stops in Roanoke at all? Seriously, what's the draw here? Other than the Coffee Pot reminiscence?

Joe remembers places that have been good to him in the past and he likes to support those fans and venues when he can.  Why did he go to Hampton Beach recently some would ask.  The answer would probably be he played there as a 12 year old and has some fond memories of that place and area.  It is a summer resort town for the most part and is basically comatose  this time of year but the back-to-back gigs there were basically sell-outs.  He likes smaller theaters, and they tend to be in smaller towns.  It is nice not having to deal with big city theaters and scalpers to get decent seats, and big city parking problems.

Now if we could only get him to play at Chan's in Pawtucket, RI again.

Re: US Spring tour 2018

Why I love it out here when he makes a run up through the redneck section of Ca. , though Humphreys is becoming a regular stop for 2 day gigs, the coolest venue around IMO.
