We saw Guy perform at the Midnight Mission show this Saturday and if you don't already know of him you should. His playing is sublime. Phenomenal player, really classy, a bit jazzy and he has an incredible voice as well. I first heard of him a week ago when Norm Harris posted a video of Guy and Joe at his store playing together. In the video you can tell how impressed Joe was with him. We were happy to find out he would be playing at the Benefit show and to make it even better he was playing with Kirk Fletcher. He is based out of Chicago and has a Monday night residency at one of the clubs there. Do yourself a favor and check him out. He played 4 songs at Saturday's show and if it weren't for the incredibly obnoxious drunk guy behind me it would have been perfect. Had to tell him to shut up twice. Guy's playing has subtleties and dynamics which does not work well with loud drunks.
