Topic: Fall Tour 2017

There aren't any dates posted under the "Tour Dates" tab yet for the latter part of 2017, but I know of at least one date:
On August 20 Joe will perform at the Pinewood Bowl Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska: https://www.pinewoodbowltheater.com/

The venue:

How do I know about this? Tonight the Nebraska PBS station in my neck of the woods broadcast excerpts from Live At the Greek Theatre as part of their fund-raising drive, and for a pledge of $300 I scored two tickets to the August 20 show plus a pair of Meet & Greet passes.

Don't know how much longer that offer will be good, but if you'd like to take a shot: http://tinyurl.com/ze9obj8
(use the "Thank You Gift" drop-down menu to find the Bonamassa swag)

In the meantime...MERRY (EARLY) CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!  big_smile cool

Re: Fall Tour 2017

Interesting. I guess he's doing an amphitheater tour this summer. Which makes sense since it would tie in with the fact he'll be doing Red Rocks again in August as well. The real question is what will be the band configuration and songs since he had mentioned he won't be doing any more tributes (for now)

Re: Fall Tour 2017

I see too where Joe is at Saratoga (SPAC) on August 15th (Tickets thru Albany PBS station WMHT available for contribution to them).

As mentioned by Natasha above, the real question for me is what he's playing at the ampitheaters.

Also does anyone know if or when a BCC tour might be?

Just putting it out there that I would love a power trio tour this summer with a bunch of older Joe songs. Not that what I want really matters to those who decide these things, but....it sure would be damn cool wink

Well, of that I have no doubt whatsoever...  wink

Unless I'm mistaken, there won't be a new solo album until 2018, so I'd expect a set list heavy on DSOB and BOD material, plus some older songs that have been out of the rotation for awhile, or possibly a few new covers he's been itching to spring on us...

As for "India," I still think the story of how I messed up getting her autographed is too funny to spoil. Besides, I have a couple of other candidates for that honor anyway...

That is what I have asked for on the cruise since he does 2 shows...one with the older songs and one for a spring tour warm-up...

Could be you'll have your wish granted on the next cruise. Fingers crossed wink

Re: Fall Tour 2017

I would love the power trio format but sadly know that will never happen again. Mabey a show here or there but damn Joe just has too many options.

Dont need a helmet to get me through life-walk across the water blame it on foolish pride.

$300 for two tickets plus meet and greet thru pbs sounds good unless those are lawn seats...

I thought it was a pretty good value, especially since the money will benefit Nebraska Public TV also. With regard to the seating, to my knowledge everybody gets a chair to sit in. In all of the venue photos I have seen, anyway...

That said, it's a Joe B show, so I'd dangle from a tree limb to see it if I had to!  big_smile

Thanks for the heads-up on this.  The Melody Tent is actually in Hyannis, MA - Joe played one of the 3 kings concerts there last year.  It is quite a small place and a theater in the round (the stage revolves - sort of).  I grabbed one ticket for now.  I wasn't real happy with the stage set up last year (Anton's drum platform was so high you could only see Joe playing about half of the time and the "desks" that Paulie and Lee use were also in the way most of the time).  Hopefully the stage crew will be a little more adaptable next time Joe plays here.

Sandy

P.S.  Does anyone know why the whole website is down so much lately?

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.
