Topic: Fender Proto-2 - what's the story?

In some recent Instagram photos we've seen a tweed Fender amp marked up as "Proto-2", any news or rumours on what this is?

I know Fender have started releasing signature amps much more in recent yeara, so I'm really hoping that's what this will lead to...a signature 80W Tweed Twin maybe? Though it looks more like a Bassman to me...

I assume if it does happen then it will be in the same price range as the Clapton signature amps...would be nice if it was more of a Hot Rod series price though.

Joe, are you able to spill the beans yet??

yup a number of us on Twitter spotted the JB Proto-2 as well and the cover "tolex" looks pretty worn as well.
