Vanessa Collier

We saw a great up and coming blues band this Friday in Pennsylvania. Vanessa Collier is a great singer and saxophonist and she heads a band of top musicians. The members of the band are probably in their mid 20's except for the keyboardist and it appears they all went to Berklee School of Music together. They've played at some festivals and at the show we saw they were opening for Popa Chubby. In my opinion their performance was the highlight of the night. The guitarist is quite amazing. He has an unusual style of playing. He has very long, thin fingers and plays with no pick and he appears almost totally blind. He also plays the harmonica. Their keyboardist is also quite good.
