Guitar Tone on Distant Lonely Train

Sitting here enjoying "Blues Of Desperation" in its entirety. Great album. I believe I read somewhere that Joe used his Fender Tweed amp collection exclusively on the album. I love the intro guitar riff on Distant Lonely Train. Actually the whole album but something sounds epic on that one song in particular. I am wondering if anyone knows that gear is used on that riff? I will guess vintage Les Paul into a cranked tweed amp. Which Tweed amp though? In the studio, I am thinking maybe Joe used a Deluxe or Super? Thinking a cranked Twin might have been overkill in the studio. Great, great tone here.
