I missed out excellent.
Pretty sure he was playing The Beast for the last two songs. Thought it was snakebite at first but looked online and the cracks on the lower pots make me believe it was Bernie's Beast.
Absolutely spellbinding concert. Joe is a machine! :-)

Well spotted! We saw Bernie watching Joe play and he said it was the "Beast". He's such a bundle of happiness.
Too tired to write more but this last show was "best" for the audience who were attentive clapping for soloes, quiet when it mattered, and appreciative of the music.
And, Joe seemed relaxed with the recording finished. His banter seemed easier and he was funny.
One funny thing. Joe was singing "Let me Love you Baby". When he sang "You shake just like a willow tree" , there was a row of them to the right of the stage that were moving all over the place .
I have seen at least four links on youtube claiming to have live streams of the concert. Is this spam? I don't want to sign up for something that's going to give me nothing!
I think those things are spams. We saw the same thing for the show we went to in April and there wasn't any live stream going on!
This was the last of the UK tour and therefore the last show for us this summer. It was a wonderful end to our tour through the UK and so happy to go to this show with Maggie and Cathy. Joe seemed relaxed, and totally enjoying himself. The DVD shoot was now over so he didn't have to worry anymore. We were seated at the front of the second block right at the intersection of the main thoroughfares going up and down to the stage as well as from right to left so there was a good deal of people constantly walking in front of us. However, the view was perfect otherwise and the sound was excellent in this spot as well. I filmed some of the songs because it was such a straight on view so just bear with the numerous people that pass at times in front of the lens. When Joe gave the signal for everyone to stand up for "How Many More Times" we were prepared and ran down to the front as fast as we could. The stage was about 5 feet tall so I could barely see over the top. Joe however came right up to the edge to play and could easily have stepped on my fingers had I left them on the edge, lol. He was all keyed up when he played that song and he was using Bernie Marsden's "Beast". Being right there in front with Joe all up close towering over us was such a fun way to end our adventure. So glad we decided to do this tour. It was fun hearing all the subtle changes to the songs as the tour progressed and I will be very curious to see which ones make it into the Fall setlist. Would love to see "Double Crossing Time" and "Black Winter" with "How Many More Times" in the place of John Henry to close the show because it is just so fun and rockin'. Really hope some of these will make a later appearance. Here are some photos from the show: https://www.flickr.com/photos/anitrasda … 100506892/

Hi, I'm Helen, new here *waves*
This was my first JB gig, and I hope it won't be my last. Really great tracks, audience were great and super props to the sound guys who did a cracking job. Joe's first vocal line was a little quiet and they'd sorted it by the next breath. I'm super picky about sound so I was well chuffed! Best outdoor sound I've heard for a good while, and hurrah it didn't rain! The chairs were tiny though, I know I have a big behind but it was very cosy, I was sitting next to a dude who must have been near seven feet tall as well! Lucky he was a gentleman, I was near sat on his knee...
I realised I didn't know many of the songs (so much for my Blues rock chick image) so I need to see about fixing that! There's a hardship :-)
As an aspiring bassist (that's flattering myself, I plunk along really badly but I enjoy it) can I just say that Michael Rhodes has a special place in my heart...what a player. And the Hammond! Love a good Hammond, my granddad was an organist so I have a soft spot for the keys.
Hi and welcome to the forum. May there be many more concerts to come.
I've only seen Joe a couple of times but I am a 50 year old gig veteran, cutting my ears on Lizzy, Floyd, Queen, Rush, Motörhead, Maiden, Sabbs, oh, just about everybody.
I'm not saying all that to show off, there is a point.
In all the gigs I've ever seen I don't remember a band having such a good time on stage and sharing that enjoyment with us. I've seen bands having their own private party up there before and been left feeling left out (numerous bands, numerous times), and seen a few where there was clearly a war going on which we we left to tolerate down in the stalls.
Joe and the gang had a blast so WE had a blast.
HUGE respect to Joanne Shaw Taylor and her band as well. It would have been easy to be overawed at having to warm up for that audience (more guitarists and guitar-nerds per square foot than at any other gig I've ever been to) but she REALLY took it on! A great set, played with a fair degree of style and WHAT a voice for singing the blues. She can play too- very impressive, I'll be flying back into the UK to see her start her UK tour in November at The Brook in Southampton.
A last word is about the fans at the gig. Incredibly diverse from teens to 70somethings, but all in the best of spirits and having the best of times. It was a privilege to share an arena with such excellent folk, made me quite proud to be a fan of something which attracts such decent people.
See you all somewhere next time around!

I'd just like to say a huge 'thank you' to those who took the trouble to record the show. Being able to relive the evening will sustain me lo go into the cold bona-free and beyond.
Everyone I met at the show were lovely people. I always find that with Blues music, it attracts people I resonate with and who are a pleasure to be around.

Cool, can't recall ever hearing Joe do this song live.

He's been doing it just for this British Blues Explosion Tour.
Hi, new to the forum and I was at Newark, totally agree with what has been said about Joe and the band, and Joanne's support. It was a beautiful evening.
I was lucky enough to have a VIP ticket (due to a small unexpected windfall) and it's definitely the way to do it! Has anyone received or heard anything about the merchandise packs they said they were going to mail out?
