The modern Cavern Club is not exactly the same place as where the Beatles played. The original club was closed and demolished in the 70s.

It reopened in the 90s, when the owners had excavated the original site.  They did try to replicate the original club and used some of the bricks after they had sold a lot to try and pay for the development.

It's a bit like the Marquee Club in London.  That is not the original one where iconic bands played last CEntury.

Hello again everyone. Just wondering what the criteria is for receiving an invitation to this show are. And how to register our interest / worthiness. Both myself and my partner Sue have been following / promoting Joe since about 2006 and have seen him over 50 times. Joe knows us personally as we have spent some time with him backstage at Liverpool and Newcastle gigs when I was photographing the setup to the shows. Well, we twice tried  to get tics. If not: DOUBLE TROUBLE!!

We would fly in from Frankfurt/Stuttgart/Karlsruhe to be there in that small location before enjoying the Blues Explosion in Luxembourg with Joanne Taylor and special guest forum member steini (Dirk) lol.

Does anyone got a call, info to be a winner?!

Trying to post on a Kindle, so excuse my errors. Lol.  What a special show!!! The history of this venue was enough to thrill but to see and hear Joe doing homage to the triad of British Blues masters merited the heat that was generated. The entire band seemed to enjoy themselves. The setlist is posted so I'll join the OMG chorus for "Tea for One/Can't Quit you Baby".  What a task to learn so many new songs, but they nailed it. Joe's voice continues to amaze. I am so grateful that I was able to attend and to do so with some friends I met for the first Albert Hall. Bonabuddies for life. Thank you Joe. Next for Maggie and me, Sunday.
