Topic: Really wish Joe would come to Texas

One thing I have had to become accustomed to is the fact that many bands simply do not make their way into TX.  I get it.  Doing so means adding a lot of miles and sometimes it does not make financial sense.  Still, it would be nice to not have to travel to another state if I would like to watch Joe live.  When you live in Texas, having to drive to another state means driving a LONG way...especially if you reside in San Antonio.
Sure, many acts do come through Texas.  This time it would be nice if Joe would find a way to schedule a string of shows nearby.

When you live in Texas, having to drive to another city usually means driving a LONG way.

Um, he is playing Dallas, Texas on Dec. 10.

WHAT!  I didn't notice this anywhere on his scheduled dates.  How could I have missed it?  Thank you 100x over.

Do forum members receive any sort of discount or choice seating opportunity?

The presale for this show was just last week. It was talked about in the "Street Teaming" section of this forum. If you had bought during the presale you might have gotten good seats. No guarantees on that and there is never any discount for forum members or anyone else for that matter, lol.

And as a side note Joe was just in Texas this past Fall. He played at least 2 or 3 shows there.

Buy a $600 picture...... You'll get tickets to the show also.

Re: Really wish Joe would come to Texas

Actually what I've seen is pre-sale tickets seem to be slightly center than the public sale for the same style seat

(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

Re: Really wish Joe would come to Texas

Anyone know how I can buy meet n greet tickets to the Dallas show?

I want to hurry up and buy a seat so I will be as close as possible.  But, I am afraid I will have to buy the meet n greet at the same time.  I did not see an offer to buy a meet n greet when I searched for seats.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can not buy a meet and greet, unless like rpic told you, you buy a lithograph framed picture. they cost a lot but come with show tickets and meet and greet. You can look over in the street team section and read a bit, sometimes there are street team opportunities which might yield meet and greet. Street Team Eric's contact is there, that is who you should contact. its not a given but sometimes they do have opportunities.

Thank you for taking the time to inform me about how to go about possibly getting meet n greet passes.  While I don't spend much time on forums, I can honestly say never have I experienced one with so many wonderful people.  My apologies for coming across "sobby" but you guys/gals are absolutely golden.

I just might print out all of your wonderful messages and keep them with me when I go see Joe. If/when anxiety begins all I'll have to do is reach into my pocket, pull out these messages, and it'll be like every one of you are there with me with your kind words of encouragement.

i like that idea!!!
when it gets closer if you want we could exchange cell#s if you have texting and text before the show starts etc. so you could have another way to get the anxiety on the back burner so to speak . just an idea

i am remembering back to the days when Joe was his own guitar tech and had a rack on stage, you could just stare at the guitars etc to pass the time but now they are kept backstage

but another idea could be to take paper and pen for note taking. there is plenty else on stage to note and each guitar for each song.... we are always interested here to read about all the details one observes at a show so it would become quite important for you to stay so you can report back to us. its necessary! smile

Every idea you came up with is excellent.  Are we allowed to take pictures at the shows?  I thought it would be pretty "cool" to take a picture of Joe during each song so later I could always go back and compare which guitars went with which songs (as you mentioned), but I can do it with a visual aid.  I'll simply email each picture to myself titled with the name of the song.
