Topic: The Boom Band

I was unable to find a thread for The Boom Band, so here goes.

The Bluesfest in London last weekend was the first time I’d seen this Supergroup and I wasn’t disappointed. Each member is an established musician, either in a well known band or having a successful solo career and consequently their music is very tight.

The line up was slightly different as Marcus Bonfanti was committed to another gig with his place being filled by Rosco Levee. If you are familiar with Marcus’ growling vocal you’ll appreciate that no one can replace him, but Rosco did an admiral job on rhythm and lead guitar.

Please check out some of the videos I shot. I hope you enjoy them – more to follow when I get time.

Moonshine

Monty's Theme

Waste My Time

Red Eye of the Devil

Can't Find My Way Home

Shuffle  Anyone know the title, please?

Don't You Just Know It

We Can Work Together

Phil

Ars Longa, Vita Brevis

“The guy who has helped the blues industry the most is Joe Bonamassa and I would say he is more rock than some rock stuff, so to me blues is whatever you want it to be!”

Re: The Boom Band

Wish i'd caught that. Rosco Levee & Southern Slide are well worth checking out live too.

Re: The Boom Band

I'm glad you enjoyed them, Paul. I've added Moonshine (excellent song featuring Jon Amor on acoustic and vocals) and the closing song, We Can Work Together to the list above. I have two more to upload and will do asap.

Phil
PS good to see you at Brighton for you know who's show last week. smile

Re: The Boom Band

I've just added another video. It's a shuffle but I don't know the title. Any ideas, please? Mike?

Re: The Boom Band

Cheers Phil, Rosco said he liked it too ;-)
Was great to see you and catch up with everyone too.

Re: The Boom Band

Last video added; a singalong version of an old classic, "Don't You Just Know It". Nice solo from Rosco at the 1'50" mark.
