Topic: The Godfather of British Blues-John Mayall

To say he´s back doesn´t fit - he was never away!
John Mayall is still there and in a great condition.
Last Thursday I saw him live in Vienna at the "Borgy & Bess"-Club and he played for almost 110min.

You wouldn´t expect that he´s 82 years in a few weeks...

Before the show (and after) he sold and signed his (great) new Cd - "Find a way to care" - and had time for a short talk.

Last year, he played more than 100 Gigs!
Here´s the link for one:

Great band!

Like to see them play together.....

See him again in February.
First Time I saw him was as a Double-Headliner Gig with Jeff Healey - must be late 80ies...

Re: The Godfather of British Blues-John Mayall

Strange news about John Mayall!
He deceded, that he will play as a trio in the future and Rocky Athas is no longer in the band!
A Blues band without a "real" guitarist?

Seen him yesterday and it worked.
A full 2 hour set of classics and Mayall switches between keyboard, harp and guitar.
His power was unbelieveable - he´s 83 -, but I missed Rockys Guitar...

Anyway - if he comes again - I´ll be there.
