Topic: Joe in Nottingham Oct. 25

Joe was changing things up a bit in Nottingham last night. He started with the 6 piece band this time, played a few we hadn't heard yet on this tour, and put Spanish Boots as the first encore song. It was a lot of fun to hear things changed around. Keeps things exciting because then you don't know what to expect. We had a good time at this venue. When the tickets had originally gone on sale, the arena offered VIP packages that included dinner and drinks before the show and seats in a good location. We figured why not go for it. Ended up with a real nice 2 course meal which was a nice change from the Wetherspoon restaurants we've been eating at recently.

Set list:
See See Baby
Never Make Your Move Too Soon
Angel of Mercy
Hey Baby/Oh Beautiful
Happier Times
Trouble Town
Going Down
Double Trouble
Breaking Up Somebody's Home
Love Ain't A Love Song
Slow Gin
Ballad of John Henry
Encore:
Spanish Boots
All Aboard

Glad to hear that there was a variation of things because you always attend several Joe shows. The master keeps the things fresh, cool. Motto: Variatio delectat...

###The Songs They Are A -  (Little Bit) Changin`... (Slow Gin instead of Sloe Gin?!, just kidding)

Re: Joe in Nottingham Oct. 25

I hope Joe includes The River & Burning Hell at Bournemouth on Wednesday, I've been really looking forward to hearing them live

No matter how far you try to push the envelope, it remains stationery

I seriously hope that the "old" set list that has been done on this tour so far returns - I want to hear more of the older songs such as Burning Hell and The River and have been looking forward to hearing such as that.  This set list looks a lot like what I heard last January - not bad, but not my first choice of songs.  I know life moves on but I am missing some of the older ones.

I hear ya, Sandy. I was very happy to finally hear some of the older songs and I do hope they stick around a bit longer. I think Joe might be trying different things to prepare for the Mr Kyps show. Mixing around the order, etc. Just my guess after hearing what he said on Persicope the other day.

here are some of the songs from Nottingham:

Nice Interview here with Joe
http://www.nottinghampost.com/Blues-gia … story.html

Very interesting what he said about a possible RCFP show at Ronnie Scott's.
That would be absolutely killer.

Joe already mentioned to me the new Beth Album in 2016

Cool that Joe keeps the setlist fresh. But still missing 2 songs and Power trio days seems to be over  :-(
also he changed one.
Maybe he is really preparing for Mr Kyps. This will not be a 2.5 hours show I think
A shame that I did not win tickets
