Topic: Gear Tribute Idea

Had this random whimsical thought today -

There should be a JB tribute album (and/or) book, entirely gear related -

Different Shades of Pelham Blue: A Guitar Geek's Tribute to Joe Bonamassa

:-D

...thats all, carry on

Re: Gear Tribute Idea

I think the podcast provides some of that.

I think lesson videos would be cool, and a good place to incorporate discussion of the geeky details. Things like "I use x,y,z here, because it sounds like ... to me."

I recently got a Keb' Mo' DVD, and it's interesting to see him teach a song "in the style of" himself. smile

He made the observation that when it's your song, any way you play it is by definition the right way. :-)

Re: Gear Tribute Idea

I realized that Pelham Blue is in fact a shade of blue, so the title actually doesn't work like I'd hoped. But I think we could sneak it past people.

On a related note, I'm seriously lusting after a pelham blue Firebird.
