Listening to this song right now. Never gets old hearing the original version. Clapton's great, but I think it's safe to say that it wouldn't be the song it is without Duane's slide playing!! There's been lots of great songs since, but you really can't beat this one when it comes to passionate singing, lyrics, and playing from all musicians!! I think that Joe would agree.
