The link above is a demo using Parametric EQ to create pleasing crunchy tones.
It doesn’t matter whether you are using a POD HD500x or not.
The clip is a universal primer on how a P. E. can improve your tone regardless of gear.
It has some great tips and tricks that any player can take advantage of in the studio or a live gig.
Anyone who has played has dealt with a sound guy/engineer screaming to turn it down.
That issue is addressed head-on.

That WAS a very useful video - thanks for posting !

Got some tips that I am going to try on my Axe-FX.

One thing I wasn't sure of - on the POD, is the PEQ block before or after the amp/cab?

You have the option to place it anywhere, but in this case it was placed after the amp/cab. Glad it helped!

Indeed EQ is one of the primary tools in making music and often one ignored by players at large. It can make or break the tone of a guitarist and overall sound of the band. People spend way too much time worrying about the klon and the dumble and the blah blah, when a nice EQ would do far more for the tone. Good video.
