Topic: SIMO

Saw SIMO last night, man he rocks it out! The venue (Southgate House Revival) is the size of my basement so it was an awesome show, up close & personal. The kid really knows his way around a Les Paul, didn't even use the hollowbody. Reminds me of a younger Joe. Highly recommended!

Re: SIMO

Simo is a whirlwind! He knows his chops and is in total controle of his LP. I like the musical freedom he obviously enjoys in his compositions it's fresh and pretty uncommercial which transports the "old" musical spirit perfectly. His voice is cool, too plus he doesn't use pedals with the exception of a Wah. I wonder if Joe was motivated by Simo in going with an OD and Wah only. Simo is definitely among my favourite players these days.
