Topic: Misled by Ticketmaster London 2015

Received email yesterday from ticketmaster informing me that the standing tickets I booked for Hammersmith Friday night, didn't advertise the correct location during the booking process and that my tickets are in the rear  circle standing area. The tickets were advertised for the stalls at the time of booking which was last August!! It has taken ticketmaster 6 months to make me aware of this error in which time the gig has sold out. Anybody else had the same problem?

Re: Misled by Ticketmaster London 2015

I can empathise with you.  A few years back I had the same problem at the Hammersmith Apollo.  Booked seats in a really good position only to be told months later that I was being relegated to almost the back row.  It left a very nasty taste and the venue told me there was absolutely nothing they could do about it (even though they admitted they shouldn't have sold the original tickets in the first place).  It really doesn't seem fair on us poor punters that they can get away with it.  So, you have my greatest sympathies.

Think there are still a few seats available for Friday, see if you can get an upgrade due to inconvenience etc.

I was misled by ticketmaster recently on 2 tickets i bought for queen at newcastle arena! I received my tickets which mentioned i may have a restricted view which had never been mentioned when i purchased them. I send ticketmaster an email after the show and advised that they had mis sold me the tickets by not telling me that i may have a restricted view (which i didn't) and i received £80 back which was the price of one ticket! its always worth dropping them an email.

I rang ticketmaster this morning and they told me all tickets are sold and all they could do is offer me a refund. I don't want to miss the gig ,as well as the fact I have train tickets and hotel already booked! Just hope the view isn't as bad as reviews I have read suggest!!

Re: Misled by Ticketmaster London 2015

Ticketmaster gave me incorrect information when I booked by phone to see Prince at the O2 a few years ago.
They claimed it was a concert "in the round" but in reality it was a forward facing stage with extra seats behind the stage. I was in those seats - a great view of the rear of the drum kit and not even a video screen to watch - not impressed ! Fortunately the tickets weren't too expensive and at least you got a free CD in with the price.
I always like to pick my own seats via the Internet now.
