Topic: Gaelic Storm is a bit of Irish fun for all!

I went to my first concert with Gaelic Storm at our local St Brendans' Inn.
That was the most fun I have had in a long time!
You don't have to be Irish or a Celtic music fan to have a good time.
Their history speaks for how good they are.
Go to You Tube and search for Gaelic Storm.
What fun! A bit of the old blarney and some drink songs to boot!
Can't believe I never went before!
Yep, found another addiction to distract me between Joe shows.
Check them out if you have a chance.

Oh, you definitely should check out the show.
Hopefully they will do the 7 days of drinking song, complete with chugging contests.
You'd have a great time.

Thanks for the other band suggestions, I'll have to check them out too.

Re: Gaelic Storm is a bit of Irish fun for all!

Checked out The Pogue and Enter the Haggis.
Both very good.
The Pogue boys seem a bit rough around the edges, but definitely straight out of Ireland.
(kind of scary bad teeth!) but they definitely know how to rock Irish style.
Enter the Haggis... very talented.
Bit more polished but very good.
I caught some stuff by Flogging Molley.
Irish Punk Band... how cool is that?!
Depending on what you are in the mood for I think all three would be great concerts.
Thanks guys!

it is my opinion that shane macgowan(frontman of the pogues) is a top ten all time great lyricist ever.  even though it is hard to understand him i think the guy really was a hell of a poet.  if you like irish music and also like bob dylan nick cave or tom waits than id say buy the first three pogues albums

I agree.
That was definitely the impression that I got from the video clips on YouTube.
I'll take your word for it and start with the first three.
Thanks!
