On this week's Pickup, Joe revealed that he'd just finished recording Album no.2 with Rock Candy Funk Party.

Tal is beyond excited about this second album. He's giving it a lot more time and attention and I know it will be so worth the wait when it is eventually released. Joe was calling it Rock Candy Funk Party Mach 2, but I think that's putting it mildly. I think it'll be more like RCFP warp factor 10 - "To boldly go where no Funk has gone before" wink

If you like the RCFP material, has anyone checked out 'Chad Smiths Bombastic Meatbats'.  Playing similar 70's Funk Rock material.  Chad has a great set of players including Jeff Kollman on guitar and he nails it

The BonaSpud crew are taking to the airways and highways as I type this in a mass migration for some Funk. Ron posted a pic of his arsenal in rehearsals with the caption "who needs more than one pickup" with a couple of telecasters in the view. Blastoff tomorrow night with a street party on Cahuenga Blvd. in front of the club starting early as usual. Very excited to hear the latest from the band.
