Topic: Keeley Katana Blues Drive

Hey All
Wanted to share this with you - Keeley came out with a killer new blues drive called the Katana (I believe its based on the old Katana boost circuit).

Anyway, its a superb quality pedal, and I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Keeley people to shoot a demo of it. Aside from their prestige in the guitar gear world which I'm sure you're all well aware of, they're tremendous people and great to work with, so I wanted to put the good word out for them!

Sounds extremely good!

Re: Keeley Katana Blues Drive

Thanks! Its an awesome pedal. Really breaths and has a nice richness to the tone.

Re: Keeley Katana Blues Drive

Keeley makes some awesome stuff, that seem to get overshadowed alot in recent years, due to the enormous glut of "boutique" builders out there.... to some, Keeley is "old hat"...  but his stuff is still awesome.  I've loved his Fuzz Head for years, and want to try his Clarksdale, and now this new Katana Blues.

Re: Keeley Katana Blues Drive

The Clarksdale is actually by Wampler - but yes I agree, his quality of build is top notch. I don't really get into fads with pedals (luckily I've been completely immune to the latest Klon rage - however, I will admit to getting sucked into the raging return of the vintage fuzz) - it seems like some of the older companies that used to be top dog are now sort of cult favorites. Cool for new upcoming companies, but nice to give respect where its still due.

Whoops!  I meant the Red Dirt/Bootlegger....

Re: Keeley Katana Blues Drive

Ah yes! Great pedal. The White Sands is cool too - and I'm a sucker for the Seafoam Chorus (even though I don't use much chorus - clearly I don't listen to enough Def Leppard)
