Topic: SIMO

There are a couple of other threads on JD but I thought I would start this new thread since I believe we will be discussing this guy in a different context. I saw him this weekend for the second time recently and those of us cruising will get to see him there. He also is embarking on some cross country touring as well as being mentioned in Guitar World and an upcoming online Rolling Stone feature.
The guy is truly a rising star.

As a young guy reaping benefits and riding the wave Joe has created in the music business he is probably the most unique. I took a few videos from the last two shows as well as there continues to show up on Youtube more all the time. This guy lives up to the hype that seems to manifest around young guys playing blues rock. JD is still experimenting to find the right formula and he is not afraid to experiment. He is truly a free spirit and after talking to him I get the same feeling he has a vision for where he wants to be and ready for the long tedious journey. If you get a chance to see this guy do yourself a favor and go.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NajfATi8dUw be patient about a 20 second delay before the video. New software I haven't figured out yet but worth the wait.

I'll be uploading more video you might want to subscribe to my channel.

Re: SIMO

I agree, I think this guy is great!  Been following him online for a couple of years, just wish he'd make it close to DC.  Have been enjoying his 'on the road' blog vids recently.

Thanks for posting the vids Jim!  I'll definitely be looking for updates.

Re: SIMO

Thanks for sharing!!!  I definitely like what I see and hear from him and his band.  He just gained a new fan!  I will keep an eye out for them if they come close to where I live to see them.

Re: SIMO

Saw on facebook that Joe and JD Simo where shopping classic gear in Nashville.  Guess they  are getting ready to rehearse or something for the cruise or tour.  JD has a rocking sound and you guys will be lucky to see him.  I hope they jam together and someone gets a video of it.  That will be classic

Re: SIMO

Gary,  he has that hair thing going too.  I think he is a throwback.  Love him.  So wish I could go on this cruise but working in the CPA world does not allow for many trips in the lovely tax season.

Re: SIMO

I've become a big fan of JD's work the last few years. I see him whenever I can. I've recorded lots of video and now recording audio in high quality. This guy has made live music and traveling fun again. Reminds me of the early JOhio days.
