Topic: Spring tour in Europe 2015?

So far for Spring 2015 in Europe we have been told about a few dates in Amsterdam (the 'old' set) and a few dates in London (the 'new' set).

Can anybody confirm whether we can expect any more European dates in Spring 2015?? And if so, any hints as to when and where??

Even fools say something worthwhile now and again

What do you mean with old and new set?
I don't think that Amsterdam and London will be different...

My understanding is that Amsterdam will feature the current line up and the acoustic/electric set, while London will feature the first outing of a new set and a new band, including horns. I'm more than happy to be corrected if I've got this wrong...

I hope you are. I bought tix for EUR 100 to see a new one. It makes no sense in Amsterdam to play acoustic/electric again and two days later with a new band a new show without rehearsals etc...

I believe the Radio City Music Hall show will be the swan song for the acoustic/electric show. Spring will be different. Cruise? I do not know or can I guess.

Hey, Jim - I'm obvioulsy not in a position to say what the set will be in Amsterdam, I was simply going by the info Eric gave us on the Amsterdam Carre thread. I asked Eric:

"When you say '2 separate bands', do you mean the acoustic and electric bands that we have seen this year, or is this something different??"

To which Eric replied:

"No this will be the acoustic and electric show. I wanted to clarify that it is 2 bands, in case anyone wasn't aware of that."

He later confirmed that the Hammersmith shows would be feature a new, different set and line-up.

I looked at that thread and can only say that may have been the plan at that point in time or he assumed it was. I'm going by some other things said in public by Joe and in private. In an Australian interview where I first heard of Radio City he said that would be the last acoustic Electric show and it will be filmed. I have heard that the Spring is a different show altogether. I can't imagine doing different shows with two different bands so close together but then again the Tour de Force had multiple bands so anything is possible in Joe's world. I can't say you or Eric are wrong. I'm just saying it may no longer be the case.

Re: Spring tour in Europe 2015?

Thanks Jim. I guess plans change with time. As we won't be able to go to either Amsterdam or London, it's basically a moot point as far as we personally are concerned.

My question is still whether there are any other dates planned for Europe in spring 2015? As you know, the Amsterdam and London gigs caused a lot of discussion because of their very high prices, so I imagine a lot of people are hoping there are going to be other, more affordable, concerts in Europe as well.

Do you have any idea if this is likely??

I don't think so. Between London and Canada is not much space so maybe 3 more Paris shows etc.
Then short break and then Canada.
I think he will do the 3 Kings show starting in Amsterdam.

The last acoustic/electric show is Radio City with filming a DVD. Therefore he does some warm up gigs in e.g. Boston.
After NYC is the Super Blues Cruise and then everything starts new with Amsterdam and so on...
My guess...

If Joe indicated that the Three Kings Tour would be during the summer, then it will likely not start in Amsterdam. I'm sure it will be after the spring USA/Canada tour. Just my guess.

I don't know but there is a week before Carre' and two weeks after London. So it is possible that additional shows could be announced. more likely after London but that is just a guess.

Thanks Jim. I suspect that there's going to be a lot of very disappointed European fans if the London and Amsterdam dates turn out to be the only ones on offer in spring, especially as so many fans have said they can't afford to go to those particular concerts.

We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

I think you are right Lee. What I meant was that with the Amsterdam shows the new production will start. Whatever it will be.
Joe stated in Australia that a horns tour will start after NYC.
The 3 kings thing will be after the Spring North American Tour. My guess as well

Well, just received the e-mail about the presale. After the epic Mannheim evening we probably will be attending the Stuttgart event remembering the unforgettable concert there in the Beethovenhalle last year. Stuttgart - Home Of Joe's Red Shoes - which he wore at the Tour De Force  ( Hammersmith Apollo?) The day after tomorrow we will try to get tickets in the first rows. Ready, steady, go - wish us luck! Thanks, Joe for coming back after cruisin' in the Carribean. By the way: Stuttgart is quite near to Heidelberg...
