To say pre-programmed, means that the G-Force can tune the guitar in that tuning. And i don't doubt it.
But low to high open E is E-B-E-G#-B-e so you have to raise 5th from A to B, 4th from D to E, and 3rd from G to G#. So you have more tension than in Standard tuning. G-Force or not, friends have suggested me not to tune in open E if not using light gauge strings, to prevent damages to the guitar.
Assuming that my friends are right, i was just asking how can the G-Force manage to tune in open E with bigger strings without damages, as if i do it with a standard guitar i may damage it?
Does the G-Force compensate in some way and we don't reach the actual tension that we will have on a normal guitar?
I just ask because if it is not "wise" to do something with a standard guitar, how can the G-Force manage to do it without problems?....of course just assuming that my friends are right about the much higher tension and possible damages
