Joe plays slide guitar on this track Going Down Alone from the same album.
Trev, LUV these! I hadn't heard of Jimmy until I discovered Joe and Too Much...
Who is the other guitarist on Goin Down?
Jimmy is super! May have to buy this. Thanks for these!
Thanks for the posts! Hadn't seen these. Nice!
Jimmy Barnes is a local legend here in Australia. He was lead singer for the iconic band 'Cold Chisel' who were huge here decades ago but never really got any airplay in the US. Jimmy also had a successful solo career after Cold Chisel, but for me, Chisel defines my youth in the '80s.
There is a really positive thread over on TGP about this same clip, and similar discussion about Barnesy, and I posted these clips on there so people can get a better idea of Jimmy's previous hits in Oz...

It is so good to watch Joe and Jimmy collaborate. BTW - Joe also jammed with Ian Moss, former Cold Chisel guitarist during his Sydney show here a few years back...
Have to admit I'd never heard of Jimmy Barnes until he was featured on the "Too Much Ain't Enough" track on Joe's DTTD CD. He's been on my radar since then though.
I love Jimmy. I have been listening to all the Cold Chisel( not Cold Play) stuff and his solo stuff over the past two years ever since DTTD came out. My favorite solo album is Out in the Blue. He is so nice and loves his family. His daughters are great too. I think Diesel is his son in law. You should give Diesel a listen he has a great voice. Just love the whole family. So glad to see Joe and Jimmy and Kevin still working together.
