Topic: Beaver Creek Show

Just got back to the hotel from the show. All I can say is WOW! What a killer killer show. The whole band was fantastic and Joe just kicked **** all night. I'll leave it to others to do the set list. I was too entranced w everything to pay as close attention as I probably should. If this was a dress rehearsal for Sunday at Red Rocks, I just can't imagine. Joe could tour doing all old blues tunes and I for one would be very happy (not that I don't love all the rest of Joe's material too)

Re: Beaver Creek Show

This was perhaps the best show we have ever seen of Joe's and we have now seen him 40 times. A whole bunch of us had front row and we were able to stand at the stage for the entire show because the stage was so high. The energy was through the roof, people were up and dancing. The solos Joe played were beyond anything we had witnessed and every song was absolutely incredible. We all felt like we needed to recuperate after the show as if we had just played for 2 hours smile Not sure how Red Rocks will top this, but no doubt Joe will find a way smile

Re: Beaver Creek Show

I will echo Natasha's sentiments but qualify them to say one of the best. I always enjoy the many twists and turns Joe has made on his journey to super stardom. I have learned to trust his ability to put on a great show in all his projects either side projects or band lineups. I saw Joe in Beaver Creek in 2004 and it was a true religious experience solidifying my feelings that he was a legend in the making. Knowing that this band had only one gig under it's belt and being prepared for some rough edges I can just say JHC how did he just do that. Start to finish just an intense show. I was on 4th row and could see the orchestra pit in front of me and the reaction of the crowd. And there were some people being mesmerized I can only assume the entire place was experiencing the same by the ruckus albeit polite and never distracting going on in the entire venue. people rushing the stage for the final set with no heavy handed theater staff intruding on the fun.

I was thankful Natasha was filming so I didn't have to try feebly to do so. I did film Nothing But a love song I'll up load when I get home. I can only imagine that the Red Rocks gig will step it up a notch however it may not be the unabashed reckless abandonment witnessed last night. Just one word Wow.  Maybe not the best show I have seen Joe do but the best Blues band I have ever seen and Joe happened to be in it.

Re: Beaver Creek Show

Joe & Co. were DEFINITELY OFF THE CHAIN LAST NIGHT!  We had the time of our lives witnessing our fearless leader, Numero Uno...not often you get to stand the entire time and boogie right at Joe's feet....talk about good times for one's soul smile  Joe was absolutely positively ON FIRE and then some last night cool   This blues band he has assembled is THE CREAM OF THE CROP!

Why do I love Joe?  Because he is just THE COOLEST GUY EVER! Thanks Joe for all the fun you have brought into our lives!  wink

Yeah Jim, I imagine there must have been other shows that definitely were on par with this one over the years. Oh to have been a part of Joe world back in those days, wish we had been there to witness some of those smile

Wow, even better than the Cheyenne show?

Re: Beaver Creek Show

Truedog I wasn't at the Cheyenne shoe (my wife and I barely made this one w/flights, car rental and Denver traffic getting to Beaver Creek). If Natasha, who has been to 40 shows, puts it at or near the top, I think you can trust her.

I am sooooo glad to be going Sunday! Only my 4th & 5th Joe shows (a real piker compared to most here) but sure was glad to be there last night. Great crowd energy too. Heard 1 woman say afterwards it was the best show she had seen at the Vilar Center and she had been coming to them for 14 years.

Re: Beaver Creek Show

I am so happy for all of you that got to witness this.  I figured this small venue would be amazing.   Glad that you are there Patty.  I think you bring out the best in our Joe.  Natasha you have such patience in doing all this filming.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart. So epic.   Every time you think he can't do it better, just wait.   Glad for all of you that are going to Red Rocks too.   Its funny how Joe inspires loyalty in his fans.  That's what greatness does.

Good word for it.  I was in the front row of the balcony at the Cheyenne show and if I looked around all I saw were heads bobbing and feet tapping during the old blues portion of the show.  Lots of silly grins all around so I would say that "mesmerized" sums it up exactly.

The feel and energy was completely different during the encore as every one around me seemed to be "rocking out" more during that portion of the show.

The blues stuff just had a way of reaching out and grabbing you right by the soul.

My wife said it was the best concert she EVER saw.

In a word, awesome!!!  Thanks for the videos!!!!!!!!   As awesome as this set is, and JB's playing of the songs....Red Rocks is going to be epic!!!

Denver, and Colorado in general, is my favorite place on earth.  It's sooooo beautiful.  Congratulations to those who are enjoying these shows down the Front Range.  Beautiful venues, great shows!

Re: Beaver Creek Show

I was there down front. All I can say is Joe was so into it that as a guitar player myself his playing blew me away. But it has the countless times I have see him. This show was definitely one of his best. Red Rock is going to be another RAH DVD epic moment for sure.

The only song I shot in Beaver Creek. Seeing Natasha on the front row locked and loaded made my feeble attempts sort of futile.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDrWddp … e=youtu.be

I love this Jim! Put such a smile on my face watching it. Seeing all of us there in the front dancing around. You could really see Patty, Michael, Lee.  Michael getting all into the song smile Never realize how little I am until I see an image of myself standing next to others, lol.
