Topic: Rude Awakening

I was rocked right out of bed at 3:20 AM when a 6.0 earthquake hit very close to where I live. The epicenter was in the small town of American Canyon which borders the south side of Napa. I'm about 8-10 miles from the center. No damage at my house other than nerves, but damage reports are just starting to come in on TV. I drove through the epicenter just yesterday going to and from the Napa Blues, Brews, & BBQ Festival. Certainly more to come on the news channels.

Reports of brick and masonry facades collapsing in Napa on the older buildings. Glad you are safe and sound JDawg. Cali is always rockin and a rollin somewhere.

Thanks all, thank Good thing this didn't occur yesterday afternoon when I and thousands of others were milling around downtown at the Blues Fest where you're seeing all the pics of damaged buildings. The injuries from falling bricks and stuff would have been ugly.

Damn dawg! 10 seconds notice, that's it. In a world with soooo many scientific advances, it is amazing how mother nature continues to humble us.

As a sidenote, is it because I'm from Philly and we are desperate for a winner, not sure...  Did you watch any of the Little League World Series? I absolutely LOVE Mo'ne. Talk about girl power!! Loved the spunk of the kids and the determination. I found it more entertaining than watching my Phils. wink Being on the cover of Sports Illustrated many feel is a curse!

Anyway, I'm glad you are safe and the seismic shift didn't happen during the blues festival. Take care Dawg!
