Topic: BB King: The Life of Riley

Rented this documentary on PPV the other night and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  If you are a fan, it is a must see.  Favorite part: and I am paraphrasing...."I have been accused of being a womanizer...heck I have been accused of a lot of things when it comes to woman.....and they are probably all true......because I love women."

I recently attended a BB King concert and after the show, people were going up to him on the stage to chat and get things signed and I had to laugh because, even at 88, he was being very flirtatious with the ladies.  He was very kind and gracious to every individual that was there .  I remember thinking to myself then, as I laughed, he had probably broken a lot of hearts over the years.

Re: BB King: The Life of Riley

Hi Dana,

This great film was discussed briefly on the General Forum a couple of months ago under the heading B B King Documentary

I agree totally, it definitely is a must see for all fans of Blues music.

I am pleased to hear that BB is still playing shows as I thought he may have "hung up" his guitar by now. I was interested that he he stayed on stage after the show as, when he played in the UK around four years ago, his "minders" appeared at his side to wrap him up in an overcoat and escort him offstage while the rest of the band played on.

Maybe he's found the way to reverse the ageing process and he's getting younger, the old scoundrel. lol

I also noticed he was very flirtatious at the concert I attended about a year ago! You could tell he loves the ladies wink It was also funny when Peter Frampton came out to jam with him for a bit he was trying to hook him up with ladies in the audience. It was funny watching Peter just laugh at the whole thing!
