Hey Rick, I knew you were going to Minneapolis for a few days, but I didn't know you were going to Famous Dave's. We'll see you there! Will it be just you and Helen? After reading this I called Famous Dave's and reserved a table for 4 for 6:30 with a request to be close to the stage. Let me know if that works. You can shoot me an email through my profile link, too.

A few photos from the Iowa shows. As some of you already know, I made up little replicas of Joe's guitars out of wood to give to him as a birthday present. So nice to be able to give them to him at the Des Moines show. We were also fortunate to spend a little time with Tal and Carmine before the Davenport show plus we saw Lenny, Mats and Gerry on our walk by the Mississippi river.

Natasha and Phil,

you guys are just tops! Natasha, I know Joe must have just loved it.  Those things are so cool.  What a steady hand you must have.  Great present for his birthday. Loved all the pics of Bonabuds together.  If you have a chance let us know who everyone was. I recognized Lee , Renee, Patty, Rhonda, Helen and Rick but not sure of the others.  How lucky for you to run into those wonderful acoustic musicians at  the river.  They are so talented. So happy for you, I know how much you love Joe and the band. Especially like the photos with Tal and Carmine. Thank you for sharing. Just made me smile so big.

Re: Des Moines and the Iowa Trifecta

So after a lot of frustration on the road last week attempting to access our youtube account I was finally able to upload a few videos when we got home. We typically shot just a few songs each night.

Here's three from Davenport where our seats were on the right side giving a little different perspective than Natasha and Rick.

Woke Up Dreaming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGbz9EAP1ZY

Seagull: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhn7ZTwTsW0

We only shot one electric song and I did it because it's become an absolute favorite of mine. I've seen Joe do countless solos over the years, but this one I captured on this particular night goes down as a personal favorite. I had a pretty good angle for the percussion/drum solo as well. Oh yeah, those are Patty's and Renee's unmistakeable "woohoos" you will hear especially at about the 6 min. mark of the song!

I know, that guitar is GORGEOUS! Couldn't take my eyes off of it in Des Moines. He posted a pic of it on his Instagram a couple months ago: http://instagram.com/p/kYkDTPSN8b/  If you can't get to that link, here's what he said: "I give you the Bona-Byrd Mach II. Thank you to everyone at the Gibson custom shop for building this lovely device."

Finally caught up with my neighbor who attended his first Joe concert in Davenport. He said it was the best concert he's ever seen. But, of course! big_smile
